12 maja 2017 - Vilnius, Granito gatvė (Granito st.) The last bus turns around in Granito loop against intended direction (counter-clockwise). It is safer approach than going clockwise and risking to scratch asphalt with bumper. For 079, which almost never leaves route 8, this will be a relief - from Monday buses will not come here due to extremely low passenger demand.

12 maja 2017 - Vilnius, Granito gatvė. Today was the last day of public transportation on Granito street, which was always served by single bus route - number 8. First bus came here in 1970`s and carried workers of metal constructions factory. In 1990`s-2000`s buses were coming here during whole day but later it was changed to rush hours. In the morning buses came here towards Vaidotai and in the evening - towards Ž.Paneriai.
As far as I remember, it was a huge success if there was 1 passenger waiting. If 2, that was something incredible. Currently it is foolish to expect passengers here when regular overall amount of all route 8 passengers is like 5 people.
At some point bus loop at Granito stop has fallen into disrepair so much that it was forbidden to send here new (silver colored) buses. Buses were supposed to turn clockwise but usually it was easier to turn counter-clockwise or even turn at intersection using reverse gear.
On photo - 2nd to last bus on this street is heading towards Granito st. loop.
